I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the prayer forum, but this has been heavy on my heart.

For those of you in the process of adoption from China, I'm sure you are aware that the Chinese government's processing of referral's has ground to a painfully slow, near halt. Reasons for the delay are unclear, in my limited understanding.

I have dear friends who were expecting to have their daughter home a year ago and just received word that likely their referral will not come until the fall of 2008. There is no shortage of babies, nor waiting families...just a shortage of "paper ready" babies. And the paper work is being run through a Communist government, not know for its expedience even on a good day.

Please pray for this sad, sad situation. Babies languishing in orphanages while heartsick parents wait...
