Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

First, if you would please remember us in your prayers to St. Michael for my battle with the devil lately, I would certainly appreciate that.

Next, my kids are dropping like flies with high fevers and tonsillitis. It's striking the littlest first! The scariest thing is how the fevers affect the children.   Please pray that we can get over this illness quickly.

And last, one of our guinea pigs died due to our negligence. I take full responsiblity for what happened and am riddled with guilt. We left them outside too long and they suffered heat stroke. When my daughter put them outside, I thought she was just going to clean the cage and return them to it. Also, she put them in a shaded area. Well, me, the earth moves, therefore shade shifts. The other guinea pig is currently at the vet's office recovering, but she may have suffered brain damage. They were both only about 1 year old. It seems a silly thing to get upset over, but as I mentioned, I feel completely at fault for *killing* a young, innocent thing. So for this part of the prayer request, I ask that you pray for me to get over feeling that I'd *killed* something, for my daughter to heal (I can handle the animals dying far better than I can handle my children's heartbreak), and for our dears Tessie (gone to rest) and Olga (may her health return).

Thank you,

The devil has fled, thanks to a friend (thank you, E) who let me unload all my grief on her.

The tonsillitis only hit three of my kids, praise God.

And guess what? Our guinea pig is thriving despite my concerns.

Your prayers always make such a difference in the lives of those whom they touch, even those who have such miniscule concerns. Thank you!

Glad to hear it! St. Michael is a particular friend of mine
