Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm not getting a commission on this; just thought it was too cute and had to share:

This is one of my favorite centerpieces! Love it. We had teapots with roses in them as the centerpieces for my bridal shower.
I am going to have to do this again soon. I think this is a great centerpiece for spring.

Kirsten,
I've been wanting to grow an herb garden. I bought some window boxes and planted some herbs years ago. Evidently my black thumb didn't do something right and the sun killed them all.

I need simple. I need managable. I need do-able.

This little teapot garden has inspired me.

I'm thinking of getting several teapots and setting them along my kitchen windowsill and growing a different herb in each one.

Now, if I could just get a copy of the plans Elizabeth uses for their herb notebooks, we'll be all set to do an herb study this summer.

I love using pitchers and teapots for flower centerpieces. In fact, I used it for my wedding reception. I collected all sorts of teapots and used them. My inspiration points was a picture Martha Stewart's Weddings book with a lovely copper teakettle filled with colorful flowers. I went from there.

But how does this teapot garden drain?

If you want to plant in a teapot (not use it as a vase) use a smaller pot and insert it inside the teapot. It will drain and the excess water can be poured off, out the spout in this case, I guess!
I think it is a great idea, very cute!

Jenn, I've used packing peanuts (those styrofoam pieces that the kids think are THE reason for ordering anything by catalogue    ) in the bottoms of all my indoor plant pots.

I'm sure they'd work for the teapot as well.
