I just finished reading Cuba 15 by Nancy Osa. An okay read in the teen chic lit circle but what really caught my attention was the Spanish sprinkled throughout the book. Entire sentences by Abuelita and family in Spanish with no translation beyond context, really. This is a bit beyond the ¡Buenos Dias, Carlitos! style picture books.

Any recommendations in a similar vein? It sure doesn't have to be teen chic lit either.

My boys all liked mother scorpion country and the other books in the series
I don't know how you post short links but it is at amazon and I think billigualbooks.com carries the books too .They also have novellas ( sp? ) for adults and the spanish / english poerty is really great . My library has all the books and we are in Canada ( french is our official 2nd language not spanish )so I'm sure your library would have them . My boys used them for copy work . I read the poetry while in the tub Much Love , Rox
