I would like to start making some type of saint figure on special feast days. I know many of you made apostles for the Last Supper. I would love to see some links so I borrow your ideas!!

I am not sure about the apostle figures, but the Spoon Saints on Alice's blog looked wonderful and easy!

Theresa made some amazing apostles for her Holy Thursday Presentation. I just had to steal, um... borrow her idea to put symbols on the bottom and their names on the base. It was such a great idea! I could easily see these being adapted for all kinds of saints.

So far i have used these-
.http://www.novanatural.com/product.phtml?pr=2354&sec=711
wooden finger puppet forms to make a Sankta Lucia, a St. Nicholas and a Guardian angel.
i have used carded dyed and white wool roving for hair/beard and woolen felt for clothes. I made little outfits using Salley Mavor's book "felt Wee folk" as an inspiration guide-
http://www.weefolkstudio.com/
Sankta lucia has a crown from a green sparkley pipecleaner and painted tooth picks with seed beeds for berries
they are just lovely but are packed away in the xmas-boxes.
I will try to find them to upload a pic

Maggie- I just posted a comment on the blog but wanted to say here that those are amazing!
I see that the arms are small beads strung with something - what is it and how are they attached??

We made figures of St Francis using old-fashioned clothes pegs. Pics on my old blog.
They're pretty basic but my little ones really loved making them.
