Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I really want to include more music appreciation in my plans for next year. We have used the following resources and will use them again:

- Classical Kids
- Beethoven's Wig
- Classical Cats
- Music Masters
- How to introduce your child to classical music in 52 lessons
- 100 classical masterpieces cds

Does anyone have any other ideas for including music appreciation in our daily/weekly plans?

Marilyn,
Sounds like a great plan to me!
Some of your resources I haven't seen yet and would like to check out.

I think being able to take them to a real, live performance is a part of any music appreciation. I know we have lots of littles - and not mega bucks to spend but even in our remote corner of the world, there are youth orchestra concerts - high quality and free. There is also a chamber music event for music students which is also free. It is basically whichever chamber group will be performing that evening. They perform something or some excerpts from the planned evening concert, talk about and illustrate some of the things they do, answer questions from the audience and then we get treated to pizza supper downstairs while they do their real rehearsal. Often, there are a few free comp tickets and I have brought my olders back for the actual concert when we can get enough free tickets (some of mine usher as another way to get in free . Also the professional orchestra occassionally has a $5 per person rate to come listen in on their dress rehearsal. Anyways, there are some creative ways to afford and be able to attend live performances where littles aren't frowned upon and it is well worth making the extra effort to attend these.
