Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I thought you all might enjoy this quote from Caryll Houselander (I posted it the Bluebells thread, but I wanted to share it with everyone )

It's from The Letters of Caryll Houselander

Her friend had sent her flowers and this is what she wrote to her...

"...I must tell you first that the bluebells were untold joy, and I noticed that everyone who came leaned down and buried their faces in them, in a gesture that was eloquent with unconscious humility. I always put flowers that grow low on the ground, low in my room so that one looks down on them as one would were they growing, and seeing the instinct in everyone to bow down to them, I wondered whether country people have more humility than townspeople. The people in towns probably have forgotten or never seen most of the manisfestations of the splendour and mystery and the loveliness of God."

We added it with some other bluebell quotes to a bluebell spiritual bouquet we are sending to our friend Chuck. Thanks for posting it!
