Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My friend has just started using this with her 6yo and 11yo and they are loving it. She says it's very hands on and it's a lot of fun. I have read mixed reviews about it though. My girls are young but i'd like something fun to do with them. I'm not as hands on as i'd like to be. It says it's for K-8th and multilevel. Next year i'll have a 6yo and a 5yo. Here is a link to it. If you've used it, please let me know what you thought of it. TIA!

If by hands-on you mean cut and paste, then yes, they are. But other than that, I'd say not so much. My ds was bored with it real quick.
We've discussed these here before. You may want to try a search to get some other opinions.

I bought a copy and then sold it. It wasn't the right fit for us. As Theresa said they are very basic, they are advertised for an older age range than I would agree with. IMO I would say suitable up to about grade3.    It didn't fit us as it needed a lot of 'teacher' prep and that wasn't me. For the lesson to flow I really needed to photocopy, cut and fold etc the night before and I never did. Even my dc who particularly love notebooking didn't like it. Having said that my friend with lots of little one 9 and under loves it. But she does say that you have to prepare well the night before.   Is that you?

I'll join in with not liking this curriculum. We didn't even start it. I had such great hopes with it, but all of that copying, cutting and pasting made me antsy, so we used something else.

If you want hands on, why don't you try Usborne experiment books or Janice Van Cleave books. I believe she has a series for younger ones.

I bought it too and it was way to much photo copy that , cut that work for me and I never seemed to encouraged to be outside .
I used straton house and the kids and I liked it much better . we still use the carry along microscope .all the plastic bugs got used up .
We use sonlight science now and nature study thats plenty enough for me .
Much Lov , Rox
