My head is going to explode! I don't even know where to start...
1) We had been planning a move closer to dh's work (in Northern VA), so our house has been on the market for since March 1, and we've only had 2 families come look.
2) Dh is an investigator w/ the VA State Police, and has worked for them for almost 20 years. Friday he got a job offer from a software company -- sales director, with a base salary of exactly what's he's making now. He has no sales experience but the CEO told him he wants someone w/ law enforcement experience, that he can train him to sell. The benefits are not quite as good as what he has now, but the salary potential is far beyond what he could *ever* make with the state police.
3) If he does accept this job, we would probably move to Maryland, instead of Loudoun County as we had planned. So, all new state, unfamiliar territory...
I know this is not a bad position to be in, but the switch from a reliable, government job to a maybe not so stable private sector job scares me to death. (I grew up in a military family, so reliable government jobs are all I know. )
Dh wants to take the job -- he says opportunities like this don't just fall into your lap every day (they approached him, he wasn't looking at all). He also says he would like the chance to provide as much as he can for us. And, if he leaves the state police in good standing (which he would), and the new job doesn't work out, he can go back to the state and they have to take him back at the same rank and salary.
I just read what I have written, and now I feel bad about even posting it. This is keeping me up at night, though. I just really need prayers for peace of mind, and for us to make the right decision... And for somebody to buy our house.

I'm in MD. Should things work out that you decide to move there, please PM me!

Wendy, hard decisions. I will pray to Saint Joseph for you, daily. If you turn it all over to God, and then trust your husband, I think you will be well taken care of.
Easter blessings!

Thank you so much for your prayers; please keep them coming! Dh will be meeting with his prospective employer Saturday, and if all goes well, is planning to accept the job. We haven't decided where to move, yet, but I am feeling more at peace about all of it. Well, a little bit.

Wendy,
Brew a cup of tea and sit down! Now, spend a few minutes in our garden; there are reflections here written just for you!

Wendy -
These are big decisions. Praying that the *answer* will come clearly and that you are peaceful with whatever happens. Hey, homeschooling in Maryland isn't so bad ...
Peace,
Nancy
