Our little town is now famous! Yesterday, around six o’clock after dropping Felix at Church for a Youth Group activity, we stood along the street waiting to welcome NCAA Division II champion, the Bulldogs. Barton College is a block away from our Church, St Therese.

It is funny to think that Gabriel (now a student at Ave Maria Law School in Michigan) once played on the same team as Anthony Atkinson, the NCAA Div. II Championship's Most Outstanding Player. When he was in the eleventh grade, Gabriel was recruited to play baseball by the coach of a small private school in Wilson. He played for them for two years before going to college. Although not really a basketball player, he was invited to join the team (they were desperate for an extra player). That year they won the State Championship. Anthony was the star. I don’t think Gabriel even played on that game, but to his credit he was a fairly good baseball player.

I just thought I would share here since for safety reason I do not post anything on my blog that would give away our location.

Oh Louise, my dh and ds saw this game and are still in disbelief at their comeback right at the end! My son acts out the ending of the game over and over again!
