If it's not bad enough that she has felt it necessary to separate from her husband...and that this decision has led to financial issues and emotional problems for her daughters...she's in danger of losing her job. It's not her fault; she works for a government contractor (one of the nation's largest) and they have mismanaged the contract she works on. Last week the government put a stop work order on her contract. So far, only the temporary employees have been let go, but she's on the list, I am sure. She's not a full time employee (she's 32 hours plus benefits). This means she's expendable, in the unfeeling world of government contracts. I'd guess she has 2-3 weeks of employment left unless a miracle happens. She carries the health insurance for her family (separated husband included), so this is a huge crisis.

Please ask St. Joseph to pray for them. Also, please ask God to provide time and technological resources for my s-i-l to work on her résumé, and time for me to help her with it. Please ask our Blessed Mother to pray that my s-i-l will gain the confidence to apply for new jobs and represent her skills in the best possible light, as she's now a single mom providing for three daughters. I am sure Our Lady will understand this prayer request.

Thank you, one and all...I have total confidence in your prayers. I know they are working; my s-i-l spent a calm weekend working (to bail out the managers of her messed-up contract) and my m-i-l was able to get to her home and help with housework, child care and moral support. (My m-i-l doesn't do highway driving, so this is bigger than it seems.)
