I think that a special picture frame of the godchild is a great idea. Some places may even engrave it for you, and I would put the Baptismal date on the frame.

As a godparent, I loved anything religious, as it reminds me to pray for my godchildren each time I see that special crucifix, or finger my rosary beads.
