Dear ladies -
Thank you for the prayers - Katie had her appendix out very early Friday morning - it was not ruptured but it was gangrenous (yuck!). She's on IV antibiotics but will probably be able to come home Monday.
I did get to the hospital just before a major storm which left a good foot of snow.
And...I did manage to get a whole two hours of sleep that awful night (much more than a wink!)
All my prayers were answered. I've got a million things to do before I switch shifts with my dh at hospital tomorrow but I wanted to send my heartfelt thanks.
I really believe I had an angel wisper in my ear Thursday night to investigate Katie's symptoms more carefully. Even after consulting with our ped. over the phone it was not clear - it was a true intuition not to wait but to send her that night. Thank you God for heavenly helpers! Even at the ER - they had a CT scan done because her presentation was unusual.

Donna, thanks for the update. So glad to hear things turned out the way they did. Will continue our prayers for her full recovery. Praying for your comfort and peace of mind as well. Our angels are awesome beings!

I'm so glad everything turned out all right. (I'm always praying for the intentions in the prayer forum, even if I can't always post about it!) My own dd had a similar experience back in October... nobody could figure her out either. Turns out she had some inflammation that was quickly brought down by IV antibiotics. She didn't have to have her appendix out, but I was glad I brought her in! The women of these boards carried us all through in prayer then as well.
Praying for a speedy recovery!!!
