I know we've had the discussion on long skirts, but I have to tell you about the most AMAZING jeans that I just received in the mail yesterday! I ordered them from QVC.com (Item Number A7318)and they are totally customized to fit my body. Here's the description from the website:
Jeans made just for you! Create a pair of perfect-fitting custom jeans in just a few simple steps. Just choose your favorite style, pick your preferred design, and provide your measurements. Based on your specifications, your custom jeans will be individually crafted and shipped to your door in approximately four to six weeks.
Once the custom order is shipped, your size information will be saved for future orders or reorders. You can even add or update your information for height and weight changes. Feel confident and comfortable in stylish, customized, and affordable denim. Personify(TM) Jeans are fashioned from a stretch blend of cotton and Lycra for a comfortable, flattering fit.
I have never had a pair of jeans fit so perfectly. They are a little pricier than buying a pair from Target (approx. $57), but for a custom pair of jeans, they are SOOO worth it! Just had to share.

That's good to know-- its tough for a girl to find a good pair of jeans! I had been having sucess with Old Navy of all places (they actually have jeans with a higher rise so you're not showing anything you shouldn't be ), but now I'm back to my stretchy maternity jeans-- love the comfort!!

I actually love my jeans from Kohl's. They are Sonoma, the Kohl's store brand. They have just enough stretch to be so comfortable without looking too tight. Other than that, they are just plain ol' blue jeans.
I can even kick-box in them!

I'm resurrecting this thread because I'm having a tough time finding jeans that fit well and wonder if anyone else has more suggestions. I love everything about the ones I just got from Old Navy EXCEPT for the fact that their highest rise ones (sweetheart fit) are still too low. They claim that they sit just below the waist, but on me they are a full 3 inches below my navel. I have to wear a long cami under all my tops in order to prevent showing skin in the back when I sit.
Otherwise, they are great. Not too loose, not too tight, comfortable, stylishly cut yet conservatively decorated, attractively priced, and (a biggie for 5'-8" me) long enough.
Anything else out there to consider? Molly (or anyone), do you know if the Kohl's Sonoma ones are carried in talls, or run long? I will also check out the custom ones from QVC, but it makes me nervous - what if I don't like them? I like being able to try before I buy. Plus it's more than I want to spend if I don't have to.
I should also note that I've tried Land's End jeans, and like them - they fit perfectly when I got them! BUT, after only a few washings, they are now about an inch too short. I know I can return them, but I lost the receipt and Sears won't take them back without a receipt. I can mail them back, but I never seem to get around to it ...
Thanks a ton!

I'm not a 'slim' so I like the relaxed fit of Levi's 505's. I usually get them at Kohls with the coupon discount but I have a hard time finding the Talls too. You can get them online though, through Kohls and the coupons still work and I think shipping is free over $25?
Why is it that everything keeps getting shorter and shorter! Must have something to do with the cotton fibers. I have a hard time with long sleeves too!

Boy am I with you on that! I have the same problem with my sleeves too. And can I say how GLAD I am that tops are finally getting longer - belly baring is out, and now even if my tops shrink in length over time, they should still cover what they need to cover.
It looks like Kohl's is free shipping over $75. Their site states that purchases made online can be returned in store ... so I may try ordering 3 or 4 pairs and returning the ones I don't like at the store, because like you, I doubt I'll have much luck finding talls in store.

Big Oops! I just went to Kohl's last night to use my coupon, and those 'relaxed' jeans I love...they're not 505's, they're 550's. I'm glad I went to try them on one last time...but I still need the Talls!

Oooh, Lisa - I never thought of going there to try on for style/fit/size, then ordering my tall version online - brilliant!
Now I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning while Zachary's godmother watches the boys ... hooray!

I want pics of the custom jeans! I'd herd about those and was wondering what they looked like in real life.

I'll see if I can get dh to take a picture of me in them. They really are the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn.

I'd love a pic - I find I can't get jeans to fit just right. They are usually just right across the stomach but big in the bottom and thighs and loose around the waist. Argh.
