Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a couple of special intentions that need to be private. One for someone else, one for myself, but they both can affect others a great deal. I feel silly posting that, but could really use the prayer. I've heard of people being concerned with praying for unknown intentions, but these aren't things that would be controversial with any Catholics!

Thanks!
Theresa

Of course we'll pray, Theresa!

Dear Theresa, We will certainly pray for your intentions. Don't feel silly about it. One dear priest told me one time that the Blessed Mother knows what we are praying for and there is no need to mention specific intentions to others. I thought it was very comforting to hear that.

God bless you.

(Edited but didn't realize the date on the post would stay the same so just added a new followup post)

I tried editing my last update to the thread but didn't realize it would have the same date on it, so here's a new post -- I wanted to thank you again for prayers and mention that the concerns of these intentions have been largely addressed. It seems that a bunch of situations in my life have been resolved or are very much on the road to resolution.

As for the intention relating more specifically to the other person, I trust that things are also basically "okay" there too.

Theresa
