Hi Tim,
Thanks so much for all your help before...now it seems that through Firefox I can't log in. It accepts my username and password, and says it is logging me in, but then when the home page comes up, the login/logout icon up top still says I need to log in and won't let me post. So here I am in IE posting this question! Any suggestions?
God bless,
Angela

the only thing i can suggest right away is to check the cookie settings within Firefox.
if you can't fix the problem there, let me know.

I checked the cookies - I think it's not blocking and there are three different cookies having to do with the 4real site...what should I be specifically looking for when it comes to cookies?

not familiar enough with Firefox settings...but look to see whether or not the cookie security settings might be restricting any types of cookies. if so, turn off all restrictions temporarily and try to log into the site. if that works, then gradually step back the setting towards the point where it was before until you are unable to log in. then you would know where the setting needs to be for the site to work.
keep me posted.

Well, there were no settings restricting cookies, so what I did was disable the cookies, close down Firefox, open again, try the site, no go, enable cookies again, and now it let me log in. This post is coming from the Firefox browser. Whew!
Thanks so much for your help!
God bless,
Angela

Thanks Angela! I just came to the Help Forum to ask the very same question, and the same trick worked for me .

Hi Kathryn,
So glad it worked for you! I've found a few hitches with Firefox, but overall, I really like it! Are you new to Firefox, too?
God bless,
Angela

I am! I've been using it for about a month now. I like it a lot - mainly because it hardly ever crashes (compared to explorer which crashed for me alomost daily). I'm using Thunderbird for e-mail and liking that as well.
God bless!

I've only been using it for a couple of weeks, but I like it too. I love being able to open pages into new tabs, and the way it does downloads is much neater than Explorer. I've also turned the buttons at the top into nice cats . One small glitch I have found is that when you change the wallpaper in one user account in Windows XP, it changes all of them - which wouldn't matter except that my younger dd has very odd tastes in wallpaper (think glaring white screen with a large brown table in the middle of it!).

Ahhhh, well I wouldn't have noticed that since I am the only one who uses this computer and thus have only one user.
I forgot to add that I really like the bookmarks toolbar across the top. Just a click and I'm where I want to be...like here.
Are you using Thunderbird yet for e-mail? I'm still figuring out its settings but it has some nifty features, including emoticons which are always fun.

No, I haven't tried Thunderbird. I've just got my life set up in Outlook and everything synchs with my PDA (when I remember!). If I have reminders EVERYWHERE I have more chance of noticing them

I haven't tried Thunderbird either; I'm like you Kathryn, I've got everything set up in Outlook and I'm a bit afraid to switch things around!
I don't know how you gals find out all your computer info...lucky for me I have the 13 yr old son of one of my good local friends here to save me!
God bless,
Angela

Partly a useful neighbour who is a web manager, partly pot-luck - I saw Firefox mentioned on Cay's Literature Alive list and thought I'd give it a go. Sadly, dh is a technophobe. He only has to look at a computer for it to crash .

I'm a geek.
Ok not totally but I can hold my own.
I've pretty much had it with Microsoft. I tried Outlook. I liked it OK but it crashed too often and about a month ago I nearly lost everything (e-mails, addresses etc. - which is a HUGE deal to me because all my business stuff was in there). I switched to Thunderbird and haven't looked back. I don't use a PDA anyway, I use a planner.

Hi, I need help again,
I've had the same problems I've had in the past (see first post) so I'd just been viewing in IE. Well, dh comes home after listening to a computer guy on the radio saying using IE is like leaving your back door unlocked. And I'd really rather just use Firefox anyway. I've tried the fix I used before and no luck. Can anyone help me again?
God bless,
Angela
