Jen, I think I have the Welcome! one or have seen it. Are you sure that one isn't written for adults? |

Oh my! I think you may be right, Jenn.
My copy was published by Little Flower Press, 2000. It mentions that it was originally published 1920. That helps a little...so this copy is the copy I have which is written to children.

Jenn, this book looks beautiful! Do you think it could be used for the Latin Mass as well?

I found these links at that lovely site you linked me to on the other thread, Jen:
This is the book that contains meditations for children preparing for their First Holy Communion. It is called simply First Communion.
This one contains meditations for adults on the reception of Communion. It has is really lovely with paired meditations for before and after reception of the Blessed Sacrament. It talks about all the different ways we can welcome Our Lord- the welcome of Mary, the welcome of a creature, the welcome of a supplicant, etc.
I didn't know they were still being published; I got mine from Abebooks. My copy of First Communion was published in 1906! Still in great condition, too!
I just wanted to clear up any confusion. Both books are absolutely lovely. I am enjoying First Communion with my son for his FHC preparation, and I am also enjoying Welcome! Holy Communion Before and After myself for preparation to receive Our Blessed Lord and thanksgiving afterward. Both gems!

Just wanted to say that you can get e-versions of the texts at the Internet Archive (PDF, Kindle, etc.). Here is the link for First Communion for children.

The Priest Game has a DVD in it that talks about the vestments and the prayers said during vesting.
