My last pregancy, they saw a low lying placenta at 18 weeks, but at 28 weeks, it had moved up, and I had a normal pregnancy and delivery.

Congratulations on the sweet baby girl! I pray all will be well! I can tell you that despite all of my pregnancy issues, I just keep thinking about the end when I will be snuggling my little boy. I hung up a cute outfit right in my line of sight and I love to touch it as I go by doing my chores. It helps!

Praying for you Elizabeth!
I had low lying placentas with my first two. They both moved up by the last trimester. I probably had low lying placentas with my last 3 also but didn't have any sonograms to know. Sounds like they are being really cautious. Are you having any complications?

So nice to be having another girl! I had low-lying placenta with my last two. Sono was at 20 weeks with a repeat at 28. Both times, it moved out of the way. My understanding is that the level of concern depends upon how low the placenta is in relation to the cervix. If at 20/22 it's completely covering the cervix, they'd likely be a lot more cautious than if it was just overlapping a bit (as in my case).
Better to prepare the kids and organize your activities while you have a few weeks to do it - just in case you get sidelined. I had two bedrest babes as well - fortunately they were my first and second. It was horrible. I'm a get-up-and-go kind of person. But preparing ahead, arranging friends/family to come and amuse the kids or you  will help. And if you have your lessons in order for the new year, things should go more smoothly.
And if it turns out you don't need to be seated for the last 12 weeks (gosh that sounds like a long time!), then you've got lots of fun stuff lined up and you're entirely too organized!
