Glad to hear your son is feeling better. One of my dd seemed to have mono when she was 12 or 13, and two different types of test came back negative. The pediatrician diagnosed it as mono anyway, because he said that clinically it was so textbook, as you mentioned, and since the strep test was negative, it really couldn't have been anything else. So, who knows?

The really important part is that he is feeling better, right? It is hard to watch our dc feel so sick.
