Oh, Steph, I am just reading all of this now. Our family is going to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament tomorrow (Mother Angelica's shrine) and I will keep you in prayer and light a candle especially for you.
God bless,

You sure are carrying a heavy cross Steph. Sending prayers to help lighten your load and for a return to health, both physical and financial.

Hey everyone. Just thought I'd pop in to let everyone know I'm on my way to see the surgeon this morning...I have to leave in about 5 minutes, and if y'all have a second to say another quick prayer, I'd appreciate it. Thanks so very much for your wonderful support!

Hi everyone.
This cross is starting to get very very heavy, and I could use some help carrying it.
Amongst all the other 'invaders' in my body at the moment, it would appear that my entire reproductive system is plagued with infection. This infection needs to be cleared up before anything else can be done.
So how exactly does a doctor make sure an infection clears up fast? Why, she prescribes TWO antibiotics to be taken at the same time for 10 days. Side effects may include a yeast infection. YAY!!!...not!
The 10th day falls on a Saturday, so I have to wait until the Monday to have blood work done to make sure the infection is gone. Otherwise, when she operates the infection will automatically find it's way around the rest of my body.
She'll get the results on the 16th of December. If all is well, she operates on the 18th (it just so happens that's my DH's birthday). For all intents and purposes, I come home either the 21st or 22nd (cutting it kinda close here).
The good news is that I'll be home on our traditional day of putting up the Christmas tree and Nativity. That happens yearly on our son's birthday. At least I won't miss that part.
So...if I'm quiet, I'm not ignoring anyone. If I don't answer a post right away, please understand it's not that I don't care for each one of you...I just don't know how much I'll feel like being at the computer at the moment.
Thank you all so much for your prayers...they are very much appreciated, and are quite comforting in this scary time.

Right here praying for you, Steph! I know this Cross feels heavy and is piercing, but know that Our Lord is generously supplying graces for you and your husband right now...in this mysterious moment! It's just all so much, but Our Lord in His Mercy has not abandoned you or your family...He is with you, nurturing you in this moment!
At the risk of repeating something you may have already heard...now is the time to start liberally consuming healthy yogurts full of active live yeast cultures. Your doctor is aggressively zapping all your natural flora to get ahead of this infection. Work just as hard as you are able to reintroduce healthy flora to your system in an attempt to circumvent the yeast infection. Try to be aggressive about limiting/cutting out sugar right now - it is not your friend for the challenges you are facing!
I'm praying for you, dear Steph!

Re-checked to see the updates. So sorry that you have more and more to carry. Prayers continue from her. Yours was one of the intentions I took before the Lord this AM at my Adoration hour. You'll continue to be remembered at that hour - along with prayers as we go about our day.
Janet

There has been a change in plans, sort of. Instead of the original timeline for everything (operation on the 18th, home around the 22nd).
Because the issue of hemmoraging returned with a vengeance, they can't wait any longer. I'll be operated on tomorrow.
Thanks so much for your prayers!
