Ruth, I am praying. May God be with your family in the coming days as you process this and deal with the practical considerations, and may God grant your FIL eternal rest and joy in Heaven.
(Also, I am so aware that I owe Maria a playdate with Noel and we do want to come see you soon ... I will contact you when things calm down regarding a good time for that.)

Ruth,
I'm so, so sorry. My dad has Emphysema and lung cancer. I am praying for your family, and the repose of your fil's soul. This is an extremely difficult disease.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Ruth. My heart just breaks for your dh in particular...he has been and continues to carry quite a heavy load, God bless him.

Ruth, I am so happy to find you here though that sounds strange no doubt. I read your wonderful post on your blog about your father in law's death. We will keep him in our prayers, for the repose of his soul. May I wish you sincere condolences for you and your family, but truly your writing was filled with much faith and tenderness, it touched me so much. It actually hit me hard at the same time as my own husband's health has dropped this week as he battles lung disease issues, and emphysema has just crept into the mix on top of everything else. Your father in law fought the battle, we just know he had to with that disease. May he rest in peace. I assure you your private intentions will be in our prayers as well. God bless.
