Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I did really good this weekend. I walked early in the morning, then ate well the rest of the day (it was too hot to really want much to eat anyway).

I think we should keep this going in August!

I agree, let's continue!

I rode by bike for the first time in 4 years (since I was pg with the twins) last night, for only 2 miles. It was enough LOL

2 miles is a lot, Angi!

I rode my husband's mountain bike around our yard twice and thought I would die. I remember riding my bike from the time I woke up in the morning to when my parent's dragged me off it at night when I was a kid. Wow! I must of been in really good shape back then. LOL

Ok, I'm in.

It's a really scary thing to see a picture of myself. It was supposed to be the before and after pics of dressing feminine after losing 25lbs and I CANNOT believe I look like ...that....the AFTER pics are no better.

I don't like to feel like it's a forever change because it's too overwhelming to think I can NEVER have _____again.

...so I'm giving myself a 30 day challenge to stay clear of soda...my greatest downfall. We are going on daily hikes and walks around parks...just moving more than usual because the weather is decent this time of year.

Aug 1, I'll officially start with everyone even though I've already lost 25lbs on my own and will continue working at it before the Aug 1.

Here goes the painful honesty.....

Start weight/current weight/goal weight

205/180/149

(odd goal weight, but I just want to see the 140s!!!!! even the outter limit)    It won't happen in a month, but it doesn't feel as heavy for me to have a short term time frame, then start again.

Good job, Michaela! Seriously losing 25 lbs is AMAZING.

I am super bad about the pop (soda) thing too. I love it. Sigh. I can't think of anything worse to drink on a daily basis. I think I will join you on your 30-day no pop challenge.

No walk Saturday or Sunday, but tonight 25 minutes and .63 miles at the nature park. I might be getting another cold though, but it could just be allergies... seems unusual to get two colds so close together.

2.88 miles - and a very sore bottom! It is so much fun to be riding again.

Well, I was just getting in a groove, a very small groove , of doing a 10-minute Pilates or Yoga workout DVD when my dh took apart my computer to "fix" it and now I can't use it for DVDs! I am at least stretching every morning so I don't feel so stiff and ancient.

I like the 30 day challenge thing! I get too discouraged by long-term goals or resolutions, especially when it comes to depriving myself of things like ice cream!

Should I reveal my painfully honest stats and hopeful goals? I'll have to think on that one!

I think if anyone is considering posting stat, but the Start weight/current weight/goal weight is sharing too much, then consider a sharing a stat with pounds you'd like to lose/pounds lost.

There are moms that don't have any weight to lose, but still want to share their daily exercise.

BTW, I walked a very slow mile today.
Teresa wouldn't sit in the stroller long. She wanted to walk...slowed me down, but we had fun and I did more than warm the couch.

I am doing great in the feeling strong category...unless you count the fact I can't sleep well...but! 10 more weeks of pregnancy will take care of that. I lost 2 lbs in the last 6 weeks...feels like more....wish it were more... but I have been told that for 30 weeks pregnant that is great so I will go with that.

I need to find more great summer salad recipes..anyone have any??

God love you!

Approximately .6 miles in 19 minutes today. Cut short by rain.

I lost 4 lbs this month. I had hoped for more, but to be honest, I didn't really deserve more. I had way too many days of bad eating. August is a new month and I will try harder!

Here are my stats...165 start/161 current/135 goal

I would like to lose 8 to 10 lbs in the month of August.
