I'm so glad someone else has finally said this! I feel like such a wierdo because I fear water. I think my brothers nearly successfully drowned me one too many times.

We took an abbreviated walk, 0.6 miles in 19 minutes (30 minutes is my daily minimum goal when conditions allow). Had to go to a store afterward to exchange something so at least it wasn't something entirely sedentary that took its place.

Betsey posted about TTapp at We Pray to the Lord. I checked out the website and WOW...read about the homschooling mom of 12!
Has anyone tried this program? It looks right up my alley.
I'm off to exercise. It is funny, now if I come to the board before I exercise, I think twice! Thank you. Awesome job, all!
Love,

I am doing well in the weight loss department...but I have no clue how much more I lost as I keep putting off my midwife appointment
I have been walking every night with dh and we recently started walking with another couple from church...we really motivate each other to keep going...not to mention that we love to discuss our faith together so it is good for my heart in more ways than one! My friend's husband has a wonderful sense of humor so it really does make the time fly! last night without even trying we covered 7 miles!! Woo hoo! We usually range from 4-7 lately...we are motivated by how good we feel!
I have been walking every day since December...almost every day since last October. I hope this labor and delivery and recovery is EASY I feel like I AM training for a marathon...lol!
God love you,
Donna Marie from NJ

We took another .6 mile walk, 21 minutes this time. Thought tonight's shopping would take longer than it did.
Well, can't and don't want to report weight loss, but I've gained right about 20 pounds this pregnancy from what I think was day 1 to 34 weeks 5 days. I don't even want to tell you what I gained last time, and it wasn't because I started out without fat stores.

Donna Marie...I walked 4 miles a day (2 miles in the AM, 2 in the PM) my entire pregnancy. My labor and delivery were so easy. It was wonderful. I was only sore and tired for about a day after giving birth. It was wonderful.
My dh took the day off yesterday. We played tennis in the morning, took the kids to the park and the bookmobile. It was fun but I am super sore today from the tennis. That sport works areas you didn't even know you had. LOL

Well, no walk yesterday. We were busy and the kids turned out to be getting sick anyway. I should try to make it out alone while they are sick while my husband stays inside to watch them, it's just been nice to have this as whole-family time that serves a physical health purpose too!

Missed two days and ate pizza and pound cake, but walked 1.4 miles today and the scale says I am officially pre-pregnancy weight. Now just 25 more to go...

I think I missed yesterday...how silly is that that I don't quite know for sure . Yes...I did miss, we had company, and I'm sure I have a million other excuses . I'm back on today though .
Gosh it is hot here.
Love,

I have been eating much healthier. I do not have the opportunity to go for walks. Dh has been working a lot lately and is leaving town tonight. But, the girls and I joined the local pool, so I get a workout walking the water with 2 27 lbs girls hanging on me for most of 2 hours.

I did ok but unfortunately I have not lost any more weight. I need to be much more aware of my food intake.
I am having fun being more active but I haven't officially worked out this week. Yesterday was 99 degrees and we have no AC so just moving from the couch to the chair was a sweaty workout. LOL

When I exercise on a regular basis, I gain weight. I'm guessing that the weight is related to better muscle tone but still... how's that for negative reenforcement .
I'm missed exercising yesterday...slept through my scheduled exercise time...I have slept poorly, more so than ususal, for at least 10 days for a variety of reasons. When push comes to shove, I'll sleep instead of exercise. I slept through my usual exercise time again today but will try to squeeze it in later. Yuck.
Love,

Okay ladies, I'm in! I have been watching from the sidelines, knowing I need to get moving but not feeling particularly motivated. But today I went for a hair cut and had to look at myself sitting in a chair in the mirror. Good grief, do I look old and fat!
So, now, I need to get myself moving. I have lots of excuses, so I need lots of encouragement! I have 30 lbs to lose. I love aerobics, but don't have a good place to do it. I have a treadmill but hate it! It is so hot in VA right now, I rarely go out but for getting the mail or playing a quick game with the kids.
If I don't eat sugar, I get mean. So, somehow I need to work on that.
I have never really been overweight. I have been pregnant and/or nursing continuously for 13 years. I am always hungry and always tired. Boy, do I need a jump start!
Here is my first step: Tomorrow I will do my 10 Minute Pilates. Then I will report back. If you could offer a little prayer for me to remember and follow through, I'd appreciate it!

Yay! Welcome Molly! I prayed for you. BTW, is your husband's name Court? That is one of my favorite names. It sounds so regal.
I'm attempting Ballet tapes again. I wish God had given me a second helping of coordination when he made me. LOL Or maybe my parents cursed me by giving me the middle name Grace?? Either way..it's a sad sad sight to see me attempt Ballet. But I love watching it and it does make me feel taller and more graceful when I feel I've done a move correctly.
Yes! It's settled...I will try it again.

Therein lies my problem also, Molly! I'm so addicted to sugar and I don't even know how it happened! I too have been nursing, pregnant and hungry for almost 12 years.
I missed a couple of days on my exercise but back on track yesterday and today. I'm doing good on taking my vitamins. Not really losing weight. Wish I could say I have more energy but not yet.

First walk since July 15! 24 minutes, 0.86 miles. Much nicer weather.
ETA: And another 19-minute walk tonight. It was at this local "nature park" place and only seems to have been about .54 miles, but it certainly felt like more exercise than the one earlier!

Thank you, Vanna, for starting this challenge. I may not have met my goals completely, but I sure did better than if I didn't have this encouragement and accountability! Now I'm on the home stretch and telling myself, "Only 6 more days left of July...go out with a bang!"
I'm hoping to exercise today AND tomorrow. And I finally got around to purchasing a vitamin and supplement organizer (cheaper at Walmart).
Oh...my TTapp book should arrive soon.
Praying we can all keep up the good work!
Love,
