Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Another Update:

Katydid's headache still hasn't gone away. I took her to the doctor Monday, and since her throat looked okay, he thought the antibiotics were working. I'm not so sure, but he didn't do another strep test. She was tested for mono in the office and it came back negative. So yesterday we're having more bloodwork done and a Lyme test - just in case.

Please pray that the Lyme test comes back negative and that her headache will finally go away. It's been over a week now. It doesn't seem to be slowing her down awfully much, but I'm still worried.

Thanks,
--Angela

I need to ask you for more prayers. It turns out that the lab goofed on the Lyme test, so I had to bring Katydid back today so they could do it over. We won't get the results back until the middle or end of next week at the earliest. Her headache still hasn't gone away, so I brought her back into the doctor today. Now the doctor thinks it probably is mono, because her spleen is enlarged. (If that's so, I don't know why the fingerprick came back negative two weeks ago. But they tested for it again -- supposedly -- when she had blood drawn last week. No results yet, though.)

I just want find out what's wrong! She goes to bed with this headache and wakes up with it in the morning. At least the bloodwork seemed to rule out leukemia... the doctor dropped *that* in my lap without warning today, and I hadn't even known it was a possibility...

Thank for continuing to pray.
