Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello All. I am totally new to this format of communication. I read posts a lot but have never formally posted to any. I feel it is time for me to dive in.
I am a homeschool mother to 4 children dd 10years,twin dd 8years, ds 7 years. I have homeschooled for 3.5 years. I love the CM teaching style and am sold on it. We have tried Sonlight and create your own. This year I think we may try a combo of both.
I have been married almost 16years to my first love and we live in SE Tennessee.
I am looking forward to joining this group and learning as we go in Christ together.
Sincerely,
Anne

Hi Anne - Welcome! You'll love it here. I was wondering where you are in SE TN - We're in NE Alabama! Maybe we're not too far from each other!

Hello,

I am Denise. I live in one of the CA deserts. I have been married since June 1988. We have five daughters and our youngest is our boy.    My two oldest daughters are in school (11th grade and 8th grade). I am hsing daughters #3 & 4- in K and 1st right now.

I have homeschooled with Seton in the past. I am coming to the end of year two with K12. I will probably go with Seton again this coming school year, but am open to doing things differently.

Hi there! I'm Celeste, married for four years and mommy to two little ones: an eight-month-old daughter and an eleven-month-old son. We adopted my son from Guatemala last year, when I was pregnant with my daughter. (I was seven months pregnant with her when we visited him, and she was six weeks old when we travelled to pick him up.) We live in Northern California, where my husband is a financial analyst and I stay at home with our babies. I converted to Catholicism from evangelical protestantism on Easter Vigil of 2002, through the wonderful witness of my cradle-Catholic husband.

I enjoy reading, writing, running (though I've yet to get back in shape postpartum!), learning to sew, spending time with my amazing husband, and cuddling and playing with my babies, of course!

Though it's still a few years out, we are very much looking forward to homeschooling our children when the time comes. I've been lurking on this board for a year or so now.

Blessings,
Celeste

Hi everybody,
My name is Simona and I discovered your board through the Ora et Labora board that is now closed.
I have been reading the posts in here and really enjoying all of the good advice.

I was born and raised in Milano, Italy and moved to Houston Texas in '93 with a two year contract. I was working with an Italian chemical company that had offices in Houston.
But I met my cowboy, and never moved back to Italy. We now live in Alaska with our 4 children: Nicholas 11, Julia 7, Sophia 5 and Henry 7 months old.

We started homeschooling 3 years ago after moving up here where we don't have any Catholic schools nearby.
We love to homeschool and the bond we have because of it.

I have been enjoing reading the posts on your board. I was a member of Ora et Labora, but because it closed down I checked your board out. And I am sooo happy I discovered you ladies.

Thanks for having me on this board.

Simona

Gosh I'd like to read every single one of these intros, but I think it would be a life's work!

My name is Phoebe, I have 4 children, ages almost 3, almost 4, almost 6, and 4months. :) We will be beginning to officially homeschool this fall. We're already using "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons", and it's working wonderfully.

We're converts to the Catholic Church and we live in Louisiana. We're hoping to find comeraderie with others in our boat. :)

Welcome, Phoebe.
Where in Louisiana are you?
Feel free to PM me.

I'm in SW Louisiana and Natalia, Alice C., Marcie, and Colleen are living in this boat too.

Hi everyone,

My name is Susan and we live in Washington, DC. We are definitely a committed homeschooling family, but so far we only have a 2.5yob and an 8mog. I'm kind of an enthusiast and spent all last summer reading up on home schooling. I read Real Learning last and felt like I'd finally come home. I stumbled across Elizabeth's blog recently and, through hers, several others. I thought I should officially join the crowd and I'm looking forward to "getting to know" you all as we slowly begin our home school adventure.

Susan
