Thank you all very much for your thoughts and prayers. We are enjoying the baby so much. She's such a little beauty. She's so tiny.
Labour was pretty long, which was a good thing, because I was able to get 3 doses of the entibiotic for the GBS. After labouring all night, I had only dilated 1 cm, so I was put on pitocin, and 1.5 hours later I was 5 cm. The Dr. and the nurse left and were going to come back half an hour later, but at 10:50 am I felt like pushing. I told Bernie to get the nurse, but he said to me, "Just wait until the next contraction." Well, the next contrction came and she started coming. He ran out to get her, and when they came in, she had to hold her head in while she pulled up a chair. Bernie almost had to deliver the baby. The doctor missed the whole thing. I think Bernie won't say that next time.
Thank you again for all your prayers. Everything went very well. I was able to avoid an epidural since the pitocin was at a level 3.
Now I'm off to enjoy our precious little rose from heaven. God bless you all.
