Anne:
I agree that it is great to be able to match the person for whom you're praying. Chemai and her family (can we see the rest, Anne?) are in our prayers for the long haul (as long as ever they need). You are doing so much for them. Our prayers are with you, too.
With much love,

Another Update on Chemai and Augustine.
Chemai is 29 1/2 weeks at present, which is simply amazing and with that good news there has been a bit more stability with everything in the last few weeks. It is all truly miraculous and is such a testament to prayer!
But I do have a special intention for Chemai at present. She has just found out that she has diabetes - something she has never experienced in pregnancy before. They tend to think it is due to the weekly steriod shots she has been receiving over the last two months to strengthen Augustine's lungs.
Starting from today she has to inject herself in the stomach 4 times daily and monitor the combination of eating and injecting which is already proving difficult with her needing bedrest and having to come down to the communal kitchen of RMcD to prepare the necessary food as she now has to eat every two hours.
One good Catholic doctor thinks she should be right to come off the steriod shots now but not being her primary caregiver it is not his decision - we are hoping and praying that her doctor will say she can cease these shots in the hope it will settle the diabetes.
Thank you once again for prayers, Chemai is looking forward to the day she can post a picture of Augustine - the fruit of your powerful prayers!!

Continued prayers are on the way for Chemai and Augustine. I'm hoping she will be able to safely stop the steroid shots soon.

More prayers from me. Poor Chemai, it's always something...
Thanks, Anne, for all your updates. You're so good about keeping us "in the know" and reminding us to pray for Chemai and Augustine. You're a true friend.

Still praying for you and Augustine. I have the gestational diabetes and with my son I had to have steroid shots to prepare the lungs, and they warned me that my glucose numbers would skyrocket because of the shots....and they did.
Keeping up the diet to maintain good numbers while on insulin is difficult. I have total empathy! Sending my angel to help you!

Oh Chemai, you are doing so well! I continue to pray for you and Augustine. I deal dietarily with hypoglycemia tendencies daily...they pale next to what you are facing...yet my snacking/eating routine will be my perfect time to offer up a prayer for you .
Love,

Anne, thank you so much for another update! Chemai, we are adding the resolution of the diabetes to our prayers for you. You have been through so much already! I am praising God that He has held little Augustine in your womb for so long, and pray that He will continue to keep that wee one safe, and provide you with the rest and care that you need until delivery.

Such a milestone! I remember breathing a bit easier after the 28 week mark when I was pregnant with my son. And now she's so close to 30 weeks. Wonderful! Prayers continue.
