Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

But now I'm hearing that they have plans to bring the Space Shuttle home tomorrow (which would be early) because of Hurricane Dean. So tonight might be the only night left for a veiwing.

We've got a cloudy cover for the next few days, so I guess we won't get to see it this time.

ck-
Based on what you listed, look in the West Southwest sky (if west is 9 o'clock you'd be looking at about the direction of 8 o'clock) and go up 14 degrees from the horizon (0 is the horizon and 90 degrees is directly above you). The space station/shuttle won't come over the horizon - they just seem to appear at a point in the sky. The 12 above S is where the lights will disappear so that is 12 degrees above the southern horizon.

We just saw them about 20 minutes ago! Really trucking across the sky! Very cool!
Thanks for the heads up!

Arrgh! You saw them, Theresa? Lucky girl. We're not due till tomorrow and I heard rumors of a return to Earth before then?
Ack! Will we never see it?

Mary M,
We saw them last night! It was great! My ds was so excited.

Thanks again for posting and for explaining the degrees and directions.

I'm telling all our hs friends in the area....
I think we're going to be out again tonight!

hugs,
CK
