I am so terribly sorry. I'm just now seeing this, at 11 p.m. so I don't know if this will reach you as far as what to expect about the D&C, but I'll pm you anyway.

I'm sorry Tina. I just saw this. Since I can't help to tell you what to expect at the hospital today because I'm too late, please let me encourage you to give yourself pelnty of time to recover. You have been pregnant and you have "delivered" your baby. Your body needs to recover. And your spirit--oh my! Be gentle with yourself and don't be afraid to remind people to be gentle with you. Wish I could bring you a pot of warm soup and a shoulder to cry on. Instead, I'm lighting a candle and will pray for you all day.

Oh Tina -- I am so very sorry to have read this just now. My heart (and prayers) go out to your and your family today -- believe me, I know the pain and sorrow....just know that that little soul is in the arms of the Blessed Mother, watching over you now.
There's a neat part in Betsy Tacy when Betsy is comforting Tacy on the death of her little sister ... she says (in my words) how cool that the baby now knows more than all of them do because she's in Heaven! That's a neat thought for you and all of us who have miscarried!
