Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

"Bare branches in flower pot with black river stones or garden pebbles

purple and white fabric to make a two-sided table runner either going one way, or two to make a crosswise display. Children add felt Lenten symbols.

two wooden bowls with pretzels

Burlap bags for each place setting, tie with rough plain cord, use to fill up with alms for Lent.

Easter, flip the runner to white side, golden glitter pen write Alleluia runnign up and down cloths. Hand tree with decorated eggs.

Use tulips and daffodols instead of wooden bowls

fill burlap bags with candy and tie with pretty ribbon"

Sorry i don't know how to place up a quote:

This sounds really lovely, you could make this look awesome. Especially with the bare branches and stones I love that idea.

We use a small willow wreath and add toothpicks for a crown of thorns. The children remove them for sacrifices, and then it stays empty from Good Friday onwards, and on Easter morning it is filled with flowers. It makes a nice impact on them - alongside the basket of all the chocolate and so on!

We do the wreath as LucyP described, but a salt dough one. The first year I actually used bread dough, and it looked great. But the cats ate some of it. So, now we use salt dough.

These centerpiece ideas are great! I'll have to put mine somewhere else this year. My toddler loves to climb the table and mess with stuff right now.

This sounds like my house...not the cat bit, (but that is really funny ) but the toddler bit...now that sometimes, is not funny at all...
