Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

It will be 14 years on August 20 and we were married at http://www.stjamesstratford.com/. The church looks nothing like it did those many years ago but it is still "home" to me-even though we now live in Ohio. Ds made his First Holy Communion there a year and a half ago(was also baptized there)and it was so beautiful. Ds's great grandmother and many other family were able to attend since his FHC was in CT. So nice to still have a church "home" where I grew up

I guess I'm one of the oldies here!
We were married 28 years ago in St Francis Cathedral, Metuchen, NJ on June 3, 1978.

Cheshire...I used to live there when I was a child, back in the 70's. We attended this parish. Church of the Epiphany I made my First Communion and was confirmed in this church. I had no idea how new the church was at the time until I read this page just now.

Dh and I were married almost 10 years ago... April 26, 1997, at St. Patrick Church in Staten Island, NY. (I can't find a website for it ). The neat thing was the priest who celebrated our marriage was the same one who had celebrated my parent' wedding almost 40 years earlier, and had baptised all my brothers and sisters. It was so neat to have that connection.

Wow Patty-

Wow Patty, small world! My folks don't live too far from the Epiphany. In fact, dh, kids and I go to my folks for Easter and on Holy Thursday, we visit the churches in town for adoration and Epiphany is one of them!

I grew up in Cheshire in the 70s too! My maiden name is "Lee" - I wonder if we knew each other? Or did you know the Sullivan family -- they were parishioners of Epiphany.

My husband and I were married on Dec. 2, 2000 (sneaked it in before Advent started that afternoon!) at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Clifton, VA. Fr. Peffley, who did our wedding (longtime friend of dh and his family) is now our pastor at our current parish!

We were married 12 years ago yesterday, February 4, 1995 at All Saints' Episcopal church in Pasadena, CA. I was Episcopalian at the time, but since dh was (is) Catholic, we applied for a Dispensation of Canonical Form from the Catholic archdiocese, and had the Catholic priest with us at the ceremony.

We were married Monday, August 10, 1998 (a popular date!)at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Newport Beach, CA.

My brother got married on the 8th so we tacked our wedding on to the end of a very fun weekend. We had to get married in a different parish than my childhood one because they have Adoration on the 10th, but I was very happy because OLOMC was so much prettier. No pictures online though.

I found    pictures.

Elena, you two are babies! You look sooooo young! Beautiful picture!

Rachel - Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Newport is where I attended Mass while living at the beach my last three years of college! Small world!!

Cash and I were married at Mission San Diego de Alcala on September 10, 1994.
There are amazing pictures of this Mission (and all of the California Missions) here

Cash was baptized and confirmed at the Mission as a young adult. We also met at the young adult group and were the youth ministers there for 12 years. Our children have received all of their sacraments there, so far, as well! We it there!

We lived in Connecticut from late 1971 or early 1972 to 1978. I would have to ask my parents if they remember the Sullivan or Lee families. I don't have many memories of that time. I do remember we lived on Highview Terrace and I attended Darcy Elementary and the middle school.   The school district closed Darcy right after I went into the middle school. My sister had to go to Highland for a year or two, I think.

I've had fun looking at Mapquest and remembering the town. I haven't been there since we moved -- that was almost thirty years ago...

St. Thomas is the church I began going to when I started dating Frank (aka: dh , in Feb. '82.) I went through RCIA there, and entered the Church there on the Easter Vigil, 1983. Perhaps we were sharing a pew then?
Fr. Lunsford was there when Frank and I were there. We were married by (former priest ) Lou Martin. There was also an Indian priest when we were there, who gave a beautiful and tear-jerking good-bye homily, as he was returning to his very poor region of India (Fr. daSilva, I think?)

St. Thomas is more beautiful now, after they removed the ucky red/gold fresco that covered those magnificent stained glass windows in the altar area!

God Bless,

We were married at Transfiguration Church in Wauconda IL, by the same priest that married my grandparents.
It will be 15 years this March.

Ben and I were married in a nuptial mass presided over by his Great Uncle Richard at Marsh Chapel which was our college campus chapel on October 8, 1994.

We almost didn't have our wedding as Ben, 3 weeks before the wedding, was suiting up for war in Haiti. Luckily, President Carter was able to broker a deal and the planes were turned back.
