Hello everyone;
I thank you all for your touching and most kind responses to my prayer request. I was in tears reading some of the responses I must admit, filled with heartwarming love for all of you on the forums. Thank you so much, thank you.
We are all adjusting still, day to day, with my husband home now resting up, and never knowing from one day to the next just how he will feel. Out of the blue he could double over with intense chest pains, and still, the doctors haven't figured out why he has them. We've spent many nights up together when this occurs at night, often losing upwards of four to five hours of sleep. I have to admit, even I find it all frustrating, being that his lung disease is so rare even doctors are stumped with the correlations to other organs. But they are there.
Just to update you more, we've been blessed with an incredible medical perk into the USA should Canada not be able to accomodate him in the event on an emergency. Three hospitals have been named just in case, Indiana, Ohio and Chicago with a drug plan paying 100% of the cost.
We are hopeful, praying hard (Our Lent was here before this Lent - smile) and taking baby steps one day at a time.
Day by day all will unfold. I'll keep updating upon occasion and thanking you over and over again with all my heart.
Blessings to you all!

Thanks so much for your email Chari. It arrived while we were away seeking a fact finding for my husband's unusual rare case in Chicago. His company has enrolled him into a special medical plan which would pay for all expenses should the need arise to venture over the border in the event Canada cannot assist with the operation when the time comes. This will allow his case to be expidited all over North America, but first we have to seek out a few hospitals close to us to get his case under review. We were led to Chicago for many reasons, and off we drove to have Easter in the area. Luckily we have friends to see along the way there. Of course though, his case is "so very interesting" everyone loves him, and wants to "study him" abundantly. Chicago was able to provide a specific test within two hours, when it's been overdue here for almost two years, someone continually flubbing up on the exact test ordered. We loved the hospital there and the staff were wonderful!
It was something else to enter the Loyola University and observe the Catholic Digest magazines in the magazine rack, the "only" magazines in there. As well their wonderful motto on their coat of arms was priceless - Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (ADMG!) Wahoo, what a wonderful greeting!
We are currently in pursuit of answers and attempting to expedite several tests overdue, one being the direct result of my husband having his drivers license suspended, so it's been very tough for him not only being off work, but also being homebound. He's so good natured most of the time (smile), but can you imagine how difficult it must be for him at the same time, the fatigue crippling much of the time?
We are taking baby steps, though I must admit it is so difficult at times, for him, myself and the entire family. the older children out west are very upset about our family being way over here and not close geographically, so there are many calls, emails and now they all taught their father to use text messaging, saving them all a chunk of change.
Jesus, I trust in Thee!!!

Thank you for the update, Renee! My father has had lung difficulties recently, and I have seen how tired he gets, so I can imagine how much your dh must struggle. He and all of you continue in our prayers.

Just another little update tonight as I sit here for a brief moment completely wiped out from driving all day long to another hospital for several referred tests my husband had to endure today.
However, I want to share with we had several set backs with a local specialist not following through with what he was supposed to do, though this past week we're on a roll thanks to our own family practitioner. I feel so much more hopeful to zero in on findings into the incredible chest pains catching my husband off guard day or night. He sees a pulmonary physiotherapist this week for coaching and many visits in the future to have his lungs cleared from the sputum constantly buiding up creating a choking feeling and the continual infections deep in the lungs. They plan to assist as well by giving him breathing exercises, something as a patient with cystic fibrosis in difficult times.
I'm praying for great things, BUT, if you wouldn't mind thinking of him this Friday, he will endure a cardiac catheterization (angiogram) which he's had years ago, but it always makes me nervous myself when someone has a main artery opened up and a probe shoved up to the center of their heart for a looky loo. Silly me, I'm already breaking out in a cold sweat thinking of the three hour round trip and the knee bending time I'll be having in the waiting room.
Thank you everyone, thank you, thank you. I cannot imagine not having prayer warriors assisting with this huge offering. I need to keep strong in so many ways, a sincere challenge at times believe me.
