Y'all make it awful hard to stick to the WW! I've never met a dessert I didn't like, except maybe baklava. I had the best carrot cake yesterday at a funeral luncheon. It used like half my WW pts. for the day!
I love a good pie, too. I made lots and lots of sweetpotato pies before Thanksgiving to sell. They are yummy with our family recipe!
I'd half to say half and half... I can't choose!
Edit: I had to choose CAKE after all, since cheeseCAKES fall into that category!

Oh, no fair, JoAnna! After I voted for pie, you had to mention cheesecake! Isn't that really more like a pie, anyway?

cheesecake does have a crust and filling.. so pie right?
I find cakes easier to make so.. when given a choice of any pie or any cake that I don't have to make.. I'd probably choose pie.. as much because I've probably had cake more recently than pie

Cake wins, yum! My two favorites are chocolate with buttercream between the layers and white with strawberry and buttercream filling. (I had these two, in the form of tortes for our wedding cake. ) Oooh, I forgot lemon cake! My mum used to make a delicious lemon poppy-seed cake. I can't forget carrot cake, either.
In the pie realm, I second Baker's square, but my all-time favorite is pumpkin. Yummmmmmmm!
All this said, I probably eat cake and/or pie no more than 6 or 7 times a year.
God Bless,

I actually voted for cake, too. But it was a hard choice. For all you pie lovers - I just noticed that Tuesday - January 23 is National Pie Day. If you need an excuse to bake one - here it is!
They also list lots of great ideas to celebrate this day.

To me, a dessert is only worth eating if it has chocolate in it, so I had to go with cake because there seem to be many more cake recipes involving chocolate than chocolate pie recipes!

Well, I'd much rather make a cake but I'd much rather eat pie, because making cake is easy as pie but I don't think pie really is!
So, like Jodie I prefer pie because it's a rare treat.

Cake all the way for me. Especially a molten chocolate cake where the center just oozes out. I dislike frosting too so when I make cake, I don't frost. The kids love frosting taking after their dad though. They love to sit next to me when there's birthday cake because I give my frosting away!!

I'm with Theresa I voted for pie, then someone mentioned cheescake.....that is my hands down favorite! Although I do make a mean pecan pie, and have been known to eat it all

I just evened up the vote - it's 50/50.
I like pumpkin pie but between the two I'd choose cake. Nothing fancy and usually not with icing. Plain chocolate or yellow with a hot cup of tea. Perfect!

AMEN to that!!!
For that reason, I'd choose a really good chocolate cake over pie almost any day. Although I will admit that a pie, especially berry or pumpkin, is a great treat during Thanksgiving and Christmas. My favorite cake is the All American Chocolate Cake from Costco. We call it "Heavenly Chocolate Cake" around here.
In fact, we're having it for dessert tonight to celebrate dd's 7th birthday!

I had to let you all know, as a HUGE chocolate cake fan myself, that Saturday is National Chocolate Cake Day!

I voted pie, though it was certainly a hard choice!
My favorites are any tart fruit pies like red raspberry, blackberry or tart cherry, filled with whole fruit and very little of that "jellyish" stuff (for lack of a better term ).
