Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Elizabeth, I actually subscribe to this magazine! It is one of my absolute favorites, and I agree, it is somewhat similar to Victoria - definitely has the same quality of photography and articles. My mum and I share it - I pass it on to her once I'm done. She has done paintings from pictures she's found in there.

LOL! That's amazing.

I first heard of it because they did a feature on my mil. She was an antiques dealer (sadly now deceased). It was so interesting to see how they 'dressed' her rooms to make them look good for the magazine. Mind you, they looked good anyway, but just a few tweaks here and there and they looked even better.

Elizabeth, I too get the English country living (can you tell I am addicted !!) and would say it has a very similar feel. I am of late loving romantic home. I do not know if they have it in the UK but it is very yummy. Clarice

I am bumping up this thread to say that I think I've finally gotten my fix of the spirit of Victoria I was so badly missing, but in the unique style of Clarice and the Storybook Woods!

Many, many thanks Mary G for leading me to the Storybook Woods. Thanks to you, I was able to order Clarice's ebook, Storybook Woods Egg.

This little e-book is a feast for the eye and exactly the type of thing I was hoping to find when I began this thread. It is a compact 24 pages, but each page is a treat with a new idea or delicious recipe, and it is crammed with beautiful pictures. Clarice obviously put her heart into this one!

Thank you, Mary! Thank you, Clarice!
