It was so interesting to hear about this deer connection as there are several legends in the Church's history of conversions associated with deer - after seeing a deer (stag) with a crucifix between the antlers. One of those stories (St. Eustace) is on my sister's website with a picture. You can read the short story of St. Eustace here. Scroll down to the middle of the page to find it.
