I just got home from spending the afternoon in the ER with Emily, 8 months. She started with a high fever, 104.7, last night and has had some vomiting and diarrhea streaked with blood today.  They ran some tests and declared it a gastrointestinal virus. While I am of course relieved that that is all it is, I am still so sad for her. She is so lethargic and not herself.
Could you pray for her quick recovery? And also, pray that we don't get wiped out by it. We have been very blessed with good health for a while now and I don't mean to be greedy  , but we are supposed to go to NJ for my neice's baptism next weekend.
It's my dh's birthday and he got to spend it in a restaurant with five little ones, eating wings and watching football, so the day wasn't a total washout.

Oh Molly, doesn't it break your heart when the littles are sick?
I'm so glad it wasn't serious, but praying for a speedy recovery and good health for the rest of you!

She is now refusing to nurse, but the fever is down.
Maria, 7, has just come to report diarrhea. And so it begins....

Ack, I am praying right now in the name of Jesus, by whose stripes we are healed that this sickness will cease and will not spread through the entire family. What effects may already be in place will be mild and short lived.

We are in a similar boat ourselves with strep and something else that has turned into hacking coughs.
