Thanks Carole and Ruth -
BTW Ruth, I remember in another post (can't remember which one) that you knew Fr. VW. He's my BIL. We are so blest to have him in our family and I take confidence that I'm sure he's offered for Mass for Erin and is probably at the hospital too!

We miss him VERY much. I was just talking about to Molly "teachingmyown," a few minutes ago, who said her parents go to his parish. I am so jealous. Were you at his farewell last June at St. Elizabeth's? If you were, I sat with you and talked to your mother-in-law. Well, barely, since all I could do was cry.
Last time I saw Erin, she only had 6. She is very blessed! Thanks for the update. We will be thinking about her tonight. Lots of prayers coming.

I can't tell you how grateful I am for the prayers for my beloved sister-in-law Erin. She delivered Johanna via C-section at 4:30 (earlier than the doctors thought) and she came out crying loudly (thanks be to God!) She is a 34 week old porker weighing 5 pounds and 9 ounces.
While Johanna is on oxygen now in the NICU, Erin was able to hold her, etc. in the delivery room without the extra tubes before they took her there! Tomorrow Johanna undergoes a bunch of tests to determine how well her lungs, heart, etc. work. So please keep up those prayers. I'm still hoping for them to come home together.
Erin kept praying that she or the doctors would have a clear indication of when Johanna should come. After her appointment today, when Johanna failed the stress tests, she was sent to the specialist for an ultrasound. That's when they saw the cord situation. Her very prayerful doctor said that they aren't usually able to see a cord so clearly - so to see that it was wrapped around twice and had a pinch in it was a definite sign that Johanna needed to come.
So again thanks for the prayers and please keep them coming so this awesome Mom of 10 can come home in a timely manner WITH the newest member of their family!

I do remember you there! We were so touched by all the families there. I was in tears -- I was so sad that he was leaving a parish he loved so soon. He went there when my first born was born -- he told us in the hospital that he was going there. And my oldest was even five yet before he was moved -- that's a quick assignment for a pastor around here.
My husband looks a lot like Father -- so it's funny to get the double takes when we visit his parish!
