Dawn, I googled 'by sun and candlelight blog' yesterday, I was searching for your lemon ball cookie recipe and I was on my husbands network! Came right up!
Last night in my search stats I got "can I dance while I am pregnant?"

One of mine yesterday: "chocolate ear molds." I'm dying to know if they were looking for info about whether hearing aid ear molds come in a dark brown color, or about ear-shaped candy molds!

I love it! Sounds like a blog title itself, actually: "Dancing While Pregnant."
You know, my hubby and I used to "collect" band names. When we would hear or think of an interesting turn of phrase, we'd say "That's my new band name." Nowadays we say "That's my new BLOG name!" This past week I came up with two:
Tohubohu (means chaos or confusion)
Henry Pootle for Short
(Scott was reading Winnie the Pooh to the kids, and he came to that line which just slays me. Piglet is posing as Roo while Roo is off playing with the others. Kanga pretends not to notice that the little one she is vigorously scrubbing is Piglet instead of her Roo. Christopher Robin comes along and Piglet tries desperately to make his identity known, but Christopher Robin says Piglet isn't that bright red color (from the scrubbing). "I'll call you Henry. Henry Pootle for short." LOL LOL LOL! Wouldn't that be a great name for a children's literature blog?)

Lissa, that is really funny. Rather than band names, when my husband hears a strage phrase, he'll say, "That was my nickname in high school." Just yesterday, I was planning what to bring to an upcoming potluck, I said something about brining a hot lasagna, to which he replied "No one has called me that since high school"! (yes, I know he's weird!)

LOL, the girls and I do this constantly--identifying phrases for use as blog titles. We've come up with some hilarious ones, but I can't think of a single example at the moment.

Two of my older sons do this all the time, hear some phrase and remark "that would make a great band name!"

Either I thought I'd replied to this and didn't, or I did and the reply was deleted because unsuitable
Either way I have learnt a lesson! I found out that someone had come across my blog while obviously looking for something QUITE horribly different. I made the mistake of using a word out of context that meant something else. Now I've changed it but will be more careful in future. I won't repeat it here in case it just repeats the issue with search engines.
What I also said though (but shouldn't have mentioned in the same context as the above, yuk, may I be forgiven) is that someone found my blog having searched on 'Marian devotion'. That person might have been equally disappointed but I'm pleased about that link, at least.

OK, this one tickled me: homemade liquid roof deicer.
That person must have been sorely disappointed to find my blog!

Here's a funny blog search I saw on my stats:
"poems about careless dads" led them to my poetry link.
Wonder if they found what they were looking for.

LOL! That's hilarious.
I wonder if they were looking for the poem, "When Daddy Fell into the Pond" by Alfred Noyes.
It's a good one!

That is really funny! One I got recently was:
"how happy my parents was on the day I was born."
And as of late, I'm getting lots of "belly pic" hit.

Another blog funny, I was alerted that my blog was among the top 100 growing blogs on wordpress, #100, but still there. I thought "hey, cool!", until I looked to see the #1 blog - it's name: "What the Crap?"

I don't have sitemeter so I have no idea about searches but based on profile views I don't think many people have read my blog.
Lisa - I had some unexpected family responses to my blog too. I sent the link to my dad & his wife right after I set it up and he called me upset because I hurt his feelings by not mentioning him by name in one of my posts. I was completely dumbfounded. I had to reassure him several times that no offense was intended. I was really surprised I had to do this because anyone who knows me knows that I am not in the least bit passive-aggressive and that if I want to say something to you about something I will just say it. After that I decided not to send my blog link to anyone else in my family. I don't need that kind of drama.

Christina,
I never got around to posting a Happy Birthday post to my father last year though I blogged my mother and father-in-law's birthday. I really didn't mean to exclude him. I didn't forget. I didn't do it on purpose. Really I had a beautiful birthday post in mind but, somehow, I never got it squeezed in. And I really have no excuse.
It's just the way things are in the blogosphere. Things aren't perfect. It's hard enough squeezing everything into our days. Squeezing it all into our blog would probably short-circuit the Internet.
Dear man that he is, he has never said a word about it. And I know my mother reads my blog daily and shows it to him. Knowing my parents, I'm really surprised my mother hasn't fussed me for being such an unthoughtful daughter.

I don't get traffic at all, I don't think. This is sort of a journal for me, really. I don't know whether folks would delight in my goofy little stories about our kids and animals and our little life tucked in the corner of northern Utah. I don't seem to have anything inspirational or educational to say. Gee, I don't even talk about homeschooling a whole lot. Hmmm ... maybe before I start to worry about traffic, I ought to get more inspirational! I *do* have some funny stories on the blog right now, if you need a laugh today.

Ok, I got an interesting search today:
"three sets of twins grocery bill"
I only have one set, so I think this is a bit out of my league! Does make me think of Anne of Green Gables, though.

This is exactly how I ended up here. I read the book and said, "Who is this Elizabeth Foss person?" I think it was the first time I ever googled a living person.

I've had that happen to me, too, Elizabeth. Ugh.
But, some of the common searches for me are:
Monkey bread made with biscuits (today it was "monkey bread hershey kisses")
Lenten activities or "Lenten crown" or "Crown of thorns"
Shrinklits
various clip art related searches
Escape from Warsaw
And for awhile, I got lots of hits from people looking for Alton Brown.

My blog is still pretty new so most of my visits come from here or old friends at homeschoolblogger.
The few google searches I've had have been
* Grace Like Rain video
* A search for a person... but I'm not sure how it came to my blog since there is noone with that name.
* Look forward to arriving at a period of grace in my life
* A search for Maltese dogs
That's it for me this week.
