We are riding the yo-yo of the surgery schedule.
She went down for surgery tonight but it was cancelled as there were too many emergency  surgeries...so, tomorrow, on her 63rd birthday, my mom will have her surgery.
Thank you, again, for your prayers and thanks for all the well-wishes for my son on my blog or here - Steve is in Idaho tonight and with my mom in the hospital and no party planned, I was afraid Joe Max would end up feeling a little dejected - but God was amazing - we pulled together a party with 6 of the kids' friends. I made a cake, gave Joe Max his presents and they all played this afternoon for like 4 hours or so. I was so grateful! Joe Max has a party on his real birthday and it was wonderful.
Ok, I'm off to get these tigers in bed.

Well, my mom broke her femur in 3 places. Additionally, docs have determined osteoporosis....
Additionally, my mom threw up this morning and blood was in that...
So, please continue your prayers...

Maria, I will continue to pray.
My mother broke her lower lumbar 18 months ago. She had surgery last year and doctors discovered she had osteoporosis as well (this is probably what lead to the fracture). They placed her on bone rebuilding medication, and this year when she took her bone density test, there was regrowth.
This is, of course, very good news. I don't know the name of the medication, but I will find out from my mother and get back to you.
