Am I the only one that tends to horde craft supplies? How do I get over being stingy with stickers and craft paper?

Getting back to this - I mostly use the 6 guart clear plastic containers (like Rubbermaid), baskets, and shoe boxes. I wish it were prettier.

I did want to call everyone's attention to a new post on Alice Cantrell's blog where she shows us how she has her craft area oraganized and materials stored. It looks great and is practical.

Oh, and to answer this question - I can be that way with some of the craft materials.

I enjoyed that post.

In thinking about my crafts, I realized my frustration is that my bins never stays that way. I had some great organization, but I added some supplies and newer crafts. Now the before perfect organization is messed up. Bins are overflowing and crowded. No place.

I just get tired of rethinking and redoing!

I'm not real big on crafts.. we do some.. but we have no where to store/show completed projects so it's rather frustrating to have much..

what i have done though.. is bought an inexpensive file cabinet.. construction paper is in file folders in the bottom drawer.. and the upper drawer holds two fishing tackle boxes.. with a lift out tray.. so that they're nicely mobile (you can carry the one holding the crayons and colored pencils and such to the table) and I can put locks on them so that I'm not finding the baby munching on the crayons

We are still using some stickers I had as a kid. They came to the boat in my stationary stuff and I still

them! They're beautiful herbal bouquets, but I am making an effort to go ahead and put them on the stationary/envelopes now.

Me too!

I have a hard time getting rid of things that I "might" use someday.

I recently sorted through my craft supplies to see what I had, but now comes the storage part of the equation.

I am moving a set of wooden shelves from my youngest son's bedroom into the master bedroom. It is the only place out of the way with an open corner. I plan to store my supplies in bins and baskets on the shelves. So as not to detract from our bedroom, I also plan to install a dowel at the top of the shelves and hang a pair of curtains in front of the shelves. (In some soft color/pattern to match our bedroom decor.)

This is the current plan, anyway.
