Mum is making progress, but slower than we would like. She was anaemic and needed blood which slowed things up. She was out of bed for the first time yesterday, and they are hoping to get her walking today.
Initially she was expected to be in hospital until tomorrow (23rd), but that now looks optimistic . I hate to think of her being stuck on her own in hospital over Christmas. We can't all visit her as Naomi is too young to take, and the hospital is an hour's drive away at best - and if the fog we have had here for the past few days persists, a good deal longer than that. The best present we could have would be to have her home with us for Christmas. So if you would be kind enough to say a Hail Mary for that intention ...
Thank you all!

Kathryn -
Praying for your mum's speedy recovery. And I'm always happy to say a Hail Mary for "the lifting of the fog" (the lifting of any sort of fog ...). I hope things start looking a little more *up* very soon.
Peace and Merry Christmas.
Nancy

Mum is still in the hospital . There wasn't time before Christmas for the physiotherapist to get through everything necessary before she could come home ... then the physios were off for Christmas ... they are back at work today, and have passed her fit enough to come home, but the doctor is now concerned that the operation wound is not healing well and wants to keep her there so he can check it again tomorrow. We are all getting very frustrated with all these delays
On the positive side, she is much more herself, the pain is easing and her mobility is improving.

Kathryn,
I've offered a prayer for your Mum's healing! Medicos can be frustrating individuals sometimes, but I suppose allowances must be made for their busy-ness...
Happy Christmas and I hope you Mum is home soon!

Worry combined with frustration is one of the most difficult states for me . I'm praying for your mother and for you, Kathryn.
