Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We just use baby shampoo and gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. It might take a few washings, but it works every time!

I worked in pediatrics for 28 years and was taught that oil is the worst thing! All of my children had tons of hair and when they would get cradle cap, I would use a tiny bit of Zincon shampoo and rub with a baby brush. I would do this 2-3 times a week....not everyday.
It would disappear very quickly.

I tried the olive oil approach on my oldest and while it worked, he looked like a little blonde Danny Zucco for a couple of weeks, no matter how much I washed his hair!

Gentle naturals also has a cradle cap treatment that I thougth worked just as well, but its all temporary-- he's five and still has it. I think I might have to try the Selsun Blue next!

Anything with pyrithione zinc will work. Most inexpensive store brand dandruff shampoos have it as the main ingredient. I have found one application to be all that's needed. But overall I prefer the tea tree oil (diluted).

God bless,

My youngest had it and still gets it periodically. I just rub baby oil on it at the beginning of his bath, let him play for awhile and then wash his hair with baby shampoo. He doesn't like me picking the flakes out so it usually takes a few treatments with the baby oil to get it all out. The baby oil is what was recommended by the pediatrician.

We used Head & Shoulders on babies with cradle cap at our pediatritions suggestion. It worked perfectly.
