Well, I could have entitled this topic "Feeling tried and tired" just like Maria's.
Dh got the word at last that the friend who he works for is throwing in the towel. Friday is his last day of work. The contracts are just not coming in and he can't afford to pay an employee. In fact, it sounds like he is closing the business and going to look for a job himself as well.
I am feeling pretty overwhelmed. Please pray that he gets a job immediately. We have some savings, but not enough for an extended period of unemployment.
And please pray for my husband's emotional state. He seems OK, but I worry about this coming on the heels of his father dying. He was already carrying so much sadness due to that loss. The girls seem OK too. We are trying to be upbeat and hopeful with them. But I could tell they are unsure and a bit worried about what this will mean for us. And I could use some prayers too. It's hard not to feel bitter about all the things that we've faced this past year.
On the hopeful side, dh has a phone interview this morning for a job that he could be very good at. For those of you who happen to read this in the next hour, please pray that the interview goes really well and that he is in the running for this job. Unfortunately, the upper pay limits of this job are identical to what he was making before and we were struggling along on, but a job is a job, so we'd happily take it.

I am praying for you right now - and offering up this awful morning sickness for your husband and family. We have been in similar situations and could possibly be again in the not so distant future - God has ALWAYS brought us through. I will pm you as soon as I can sit upright for long enough.

It's over an hour, but I'm praying that the interview is going so well that he is still on the phone!
I'll continue to pray today anyway (since God is outside of time!)
