I have been having severe lower back pain with a little abdominal pain too over the last few hours. Thankfully no spotting. (I am almost at 8 weeks) I am hoping that it is just back pain or maybe a UTI (never had one?) or something else.
Please pray. (My first sonogram is due on the feast of our Lady of Guadeloupe).

What a perfect day to have a sonogram. The patron of the unborn will comfort and support you.
I've had those lower back pains and cramping with every pregnancy and I have never miscarried (thanks be to God). But I know that it is impossible not to worry when it's happening to you.
I'll add you and your sweet little one to my Our Lady of Guadalupe Novena, Marilyn.

I had the same thing at 8 weeks Marilyn. It turned out to be a slight UTI.

Thank you all so much for your prayers and kind responses. I had a peaceful night's sleep (hot water bottles on my back and abdomen!) - and the pain is no longer there this morning. It is funny how one's perspective changes - I have been struggling with all day morning sickness - now I want to make sure I still have the nausea - just so I know that the baby is ok!! I guess I will not feel totally comfortable until I have that sonogram.
Thank you all again. I will keep you updated after the sonogram.
