Hi again - today I went to my follow up appointment with my ob and boy did it make me miss my NFP only doc from back in michigan. this doc just kept telling me about birth control and how I should not get pregnant for 3 moths etc. I understand i need to heal and i can use NFP just fine thank you. He also kept telling me about my increased risks of miscarrraige and abnormalities with a baby over 35 - I felt like a stupid teenager - i know all these things and can handle myself fine.   He did give me a scrip for prenatal vitamins though and said to take these and he would see me in a few months - he does know we want more children. he is overall a good doc but he sure has bought the farm on these issues.

Yikes! I am so sorry about that visit. I worry so much about the medical community in general with their god complexes. Please take it easy. I'm not sure where in Florida you are, but let me know if there is anything at all I can do to help.

I am sorry that the Dr. talked to you in such an ignorant manner.
You and your dh must discern what is right for you right now. I just wanted to let you know that I got pregnant within 2 mos. of my last miscarraige and delivered a healthy baby girl at age 40.
