Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I wasn't sure where to post this so this where I put it. you can move it if need be.

I had my D & C yesterday. It went well but my recovery yesterday was difficult. I am doing much better today pyhsically. Emotionally is a different story.

The Doc called today and told me everything went well except that I was further along then he thought. I was actually 16 weeks not 12 and so the baby and my uterus were bigger and therefore I lost a lot of blood. I was very schocked and saddend by hearing that my poor little one was so far along and din't make it. The doc wa not able to determine the gender of the baby.   I had a period in September but it must have been one of those things because I was already pregnant and had no idea.

I know for sure that the baby was gone because Ambrose never moved at all and If I was 16 weeks he would have been moving. I also realized that there was no heart beat before they even told me. I also hadn't gained one single pound and had a feeling when I went in that something may not be right. Even my breasts were not filling out or any of the things you would expect especially if you are 16 weeks.

Please keep us in your prayers as my physical and emotional recovery continues and thanks for all you have done so far.

((((Mary))))

I've been praying for you and watching for your update.

I'm so very sorry for your loss.

I had the same, sinking feeling when we lost our baby Jack at 19 weeks. I knew going into the appointment that all was not right.

Please go slowly trying to recover. 2nd trimester losses are just harder to recover from, physically and emotionally. Nobody told me that on day 3, my milk would come in. I woke in the middle of the night with that throbbing pain, and felt like someone was dumping salt in the wound.    I hope your doctor gave you a heads up on those kinds of things.

Praying for your broken heart, and your healing body.

I'm so very sorry.

Oh, Mary, continuing to pray and so so sorry. May Our Lady hold your precious baby and cover him/her with all the tender loving care you so dreamed of providing youself. And may she uphold you, the grieving mother, as only another grieving mother can do. The emotional intensity of things can be so overwhelming. Praying for all of you.

Dear Mary,
I am so sorry; I will hold you close in prayer and will especially ask your little Ambrose to intercede for you and your dear ones. Please rest and be gentle with yourself.

Mary, I'm so sorry. I lost a little girl at 13 weeks. And I kind of knew too. All pregnancy symptoms stopped the week before.

Many healing prayers for you. We'll remember you in our family rosary tonight.
