I am sorry you all are going through this. I know how you have struggled. Be assured of our prayers her, as we deal with our own crosses. We will offer some up for Bernie.

Sorry to hear this...life must be so up and down for you, also. I am adding a special prayer that I hold dear. When I was an emotional wreck trying to care for my dd years ago...I had this posted .....
Prayer for Peace of Mind
O Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You, hoping for all things
from Your goodness. You make a root flourish beneath the soil; You
can make fruitful the darkness in which I find myself today. I adore
You in all Your purposes even without knowing them; Your will be
done, not mine. May I be patient! It is so difficult to realize that
these trials, heartbreaking as they are, can be turned into
blessings. Lord, give me the peace of mind, peace of heart, and peace
of soul, as I offer You my thoughts, my words and my action, and yes

Thank you all for your prayers. I can see how they're working. Last night while I was at my Legion of Mary meeting, my husband was home with the kids. I should tell you, I never go out past 5:00 pm, but I couldn't go to my meeting today, so I went last night. Anyway, He told me he actually had fun with the kids. He taught the kids how to play marbles and also played pick-up sticks with them. This is a big thing for him, since he usually goes up to our room as soon as he gets home from work at 8:15 every night.The kids usually don't see him much before bed, but he let them stay up and spent time with them.
Your prayers mean the world to me. Every day is up and down for us. He really is a great man, like Molly said. Thank you for continuing to pray for us as he will bear this cross every day for the rest of his life.
God bless you all. I thank God for all of you and pray for your intentios every day.
