Could you please pray for 5yo Malachy?
He fell off of a top bunk tonight  .......I think he may have broken his arm.....since there is no swelling, no protusion and his CMS checks are WNL  (nursespeak)........I just gave him some Motrin (which if you KNOW me is a HUGE deal ) and put him to bed........he went to sleep singing "Partridge in a pear tree" 
........I am going to take him to the doctor tomorrow if he is still favoring it and not using it.....and get an x-ray
please pray that waiting till tomorrow was a good decision and that we can get into the doctor in a timely manner (like TOMORROW )......that he handles all of this fine......he has not seen his doctor since he was a week old .....Deo gratias
.....or, maybe just pray that he awakens just fine in the morning
......oh, and also that he can sleep through the night, and not be awakened by the pain  ....poor wee fella

sheesh that was a long post for a short request........sorry! 
...maybe that's because at my grandma's this weekend I could only READ posts.........not reply (her pc won't let me), it all spilled over

You've got the prayers -- hope Malachy is ok! 17yos did broke his arm when he was the same age -- jumped off a swing but I didn't think he'd broken his arm, just thought he was whining -- one of those "mother of the year award" events for me!

Chari, you know we will be praying!
I'm not an RN but from experience I do believe in avoiding midnight ERs whenever possible, especially in flu and RSV season  !
My humble opinion is that you acted prudently.  I bet your doctor will agree.

Thank you everyone for the prayers........I had dreams about it .....and, I had this secret hope he was okay, he seemed to be letting it move in his sleep in the wee hours of the morning......but alas, when we got out of bed, he said, "I can't get out by myself."
so, thanks to your prayers, I am sure........we have an appt at 11am with my favorite doctor 
......and, the piano teacher is taking the other kids early, AND a homeschool friend is picking Anne up from the college and bringing her to town, and taking the other kids home......AND Shawna will take whoever I need
I have such special friends in REAL life, in addition to all of you!! We are SO blessed!
Malachy is worried about seeing the doctor, maybe I will give him some Rescue Remedy before we go
Obviously I will bring you a prayer update later
....Cay.....more on Anne later....

Praying for you and your family, Chari! I have four boys, and my husband just built a bunk bed for the younger two this past weekend....I am reading your post cringing... Now I have a real life young boy to refer to when I admonish them to be careful on that top bunk...
