I had the biophysical profile done this afternoon...baby passed w/ flying colors, so we feel it is safe to wait a little while longer for labor to start on its own.
Thank you so much for your prayers...I have definately felt their effect. I have a sense of peace about waiting for nature to take its course. I am so touched by the support I receive from this forum.  (happy tears).
I will update again when I have news to share. Thank you again!

So glad the test went well. Prayers for you and the baby as you deal with the stress of everyone asking if the baby is born yet. (We had a wise doctor inform us that babies do not read calendars!)

I saw the doctor again today. Dh and I looked over our NFP chart and realized that the due date had been miscalculated. We showed our chart to the doctor and he agreed. We re-set my due date for November 17, so now I'm only 5 days overdue instead of 12. We also talked about my fears related to induction and I feel much better about it now, should it be neccessary. I got some homeopathics from a friend today to try to start labor and we're going to try them tomorrow evening after Thanksgiving.
If I don't go into labor by next Wednesday, the doctor will strip my membranes and apply protaglandin gel to my cervix, and if that doesn't work, we'll go in for labor induction on next Friday or Saturday, at which point I'll be 2 weeks overdue.
I'm still hoping the medical interventions won't be neccessary and we're continuing to monitor the baby. Please keep up your prayers that I'll go into labor on my own. I have been feeling so weak, spiritually and emotionally and I need prayer support so much right now. I can't express how much your prayers and support mean to me right now. Thank you so much, dear ladies.

Wow! Glad that you figured this out so that the dr. is not as worried. I will continue to pray. Chances are you will go into labor before all of those interventions come to pass (the medical interventions, not the divine ones )
With my 2nd child, the dr. gave me a due date that was 6 days earlier than what my chart indicated and she really was born on *my* idea of the due date. It was funny, though, that when he gave me the earlier date, I said, "oh no, the real date is ....". He smiled and said, "when we get closer, you'll be hoping I'm the one who's right." These last days are very tiring, aren't they?
Hoping to hear news of a little one soon!
