I just checked out the "what men really want" thread and read your message and wanted to respond to you here, with prayers for you.
Last Friday evening, one of my son's teammates was murdered. Mike enjoyed playing with him, and the team did some travel together. They were good teammates, but not close friends. I knew him only from sitting in the bleachers and watching games and practices.
That said, as much as I didn't know him, I have been in tears all week. I am sure the others at our church wondered what was wrong, as I sat through Mass, crying.
This sadness and pain I am feeling for someone I barely knew gives me an inkling of the sadness and pain you are feeling. I am praying for you, as I continue to pray for your friend and her family.

Bless you Stacy. My sadness is nothing compared to the family's. I ache for them but they have lost their son. Today is the funeral mass so please keep them in prayer on what will surely be a very difficult day.
